A la Mode (Al)

Al is an off-the-track Thoroughbred who has been working with Stride Ahead since 2010. After a short career in the racing industry, he worked in jumping competitions before joining Mark’s Riding School and the Stride Ahead program at Little Creek Farm.

“Gentleman Al” is well-mannered, attentive, and sensitive. He’s also a very good sport. At Little Creek’s annual Horse Costume event, he has happily dressed as a Saw Horse, a Horse Fly, Elvis Presley, a Charley Horse, Prince Albert in a Can, Dorothy (accompanied by Toto), and Superman (accompanied by Clark Kent).

He is an excellent volunteer in Stride Ahead’s Therapeutic Riding Lessons and Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy sessions.
